Description
GRADES 9-12+. This book is an anthology of readings about China written by American scholars in the fields of history and social sciences, as well as some translated excerpts from primary Chinese sources. Though intended as a supplement to the telecourse package CVd-063, 'The Chinese,' it can also be used as a college-level text or adapted for high school use. The text includes new introductory essays and revisions to account for changes in China's state and society in the late 1980s. A study guide organizes the readings and video segments. // Ann Arbor, MI: University of Michigan Center for Chinese Studies, 1991.
